"I can't tell you
what the classes
with you have meant to me.
I came to you
close to despair . . .
I no longer feel
that way–
I'm excited
to be a painter.
"
– Barbara Stanley

GROUP CLASSES IN OIL AND ACRYLIC

These classes are a wonderful opportunity to learn the painting basics often not taught: mixing colors, the properties of various pigments, what surfaces are available, how to select a subject, how to set up and light a still life, how best to paint from still life, how to effectively apply paint and so much more. Classes are given all winter on Monday mornings or afternoons. Class size is limited to seven students and runs on a four-week session. Cost is $160.

PRIVATE CLASSES

A one-on-one class is a great opportunity to focus entirely on you and what your artistic needs are at the time. $50 per hour; two hour minimum.

  "You seem to have
bucket loads of patience and
good humor,
not to mention your
painting and instructing
expertise!
"
– Judy Holliday

WHERE?

small image of the studio building exterior and signageAll classes are held at "The Studio" in Damariscotta, Maine. The Studio has 800 sq. ft. of open space
with natural light from clerestory windows, 15 ft. ceilings, all one mile from downtown Damariscotta on the
Bristol Rd. The Studio is easy to find yet sits in a wooded setting. The location is perfect for out-of-town
students because of local amenities: restaurants, shops, B&Bs, and a Concord Line bus stop nearby.
